FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What types of protected information can I redact?

Bleep can redact any spoken words or phrases from audio and video recordings. Use it to remove names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, medical diagnoses, or any other PII spoken in hearings, depositions, intakes, or training recordings.

Is this suitable for HIPAA-regulated content?

Bleep's cloud processing uses encrypted transfer and does not retain your files after processing. For maximum sensitivity, our free browser mode processes everything locally — files never leave your device. Contact us at [email protected] to discuss your specific compliance requirements.

Can I redact recordings longer than 10 minutes?

Yes. The free browser tool handles files up to ~10 minutes. Our paid Studio plans support recordings up to 2 hours, max 1 GB, with cloud-powered transcription — ideal for full hearings, depositions, or training sessions.

How does the redaction process work?

Upload your recording, and our AI generates a word-level transcript. Then select the specific words, names, or phrases you want to redact. Bleep replaces them with a configurable bleep tone and exports the cleaned file. The entire workflow takes minutes, not hours.

Can I create reusable word lists for recurring redaction patterns?

Yes. You can create and save custom word lists — for example, a list of client names, judge names, or medical terms — and apply them with one click to future recordings. Lists persist across sessions.

Do you offer volume licensing or enterprise agreements?

Yes. Our Team plan supports custom minutes, storage, annual billing with PO/invoice support, and priority support. Contact us at [email protected] for details.
