Why Video Editing on Chromebook Is Hard
Chromebooks can't run traditional desktop software:
- Adobe Premiere Pro - Windows/Mac only
- iMovie - Mac/iOS only
- DaVinci Resolve - Won't install on Chrome OS
- Most Android apps - Crash or work poorly
If you're on a school-managed Chromebook, you probably can't install apps at all.
The Browser-Based Solution
Browser mode can run in a current Chrome browser with WebAssembly and Worker support, compatible codecs, enough memory, local file access, and permission to download the transcription model. Studio is the upload-based alternative.
School management, device age, available memory, browser policy, storage, and network controls can affect either path. Follow district approval requirements.
How to Bleep Words on Chromebook
1. Upload Your Video
Open Bleep Studio and upload your MP4 or MP3 file.
2. Transcribe

3. Select Words to Censor
